Available positions on the Speak! team include contributing writers, photographers, graphic designers and copy editors. Elections for executive positions are held every spring. Previous experience in journalism is not a prerequisite to join. Writers and editors go through mandatory training at the beginning of each semester and polish their skills at weekly editorial meetings. We’re also able to schedule one-on-one workshops for members who join mid-semester or whose schedules conflict with mandatory training and meetings. If you’ve got a flair for writing, a passion for human rights and a desire to hone your journalistic skills in a disciplined-yet-supportive environment, give us a shout.
